Statue of Autumn crib figurine

In 1674, 24 statues in white marble were commissioned by Colbert to decorate the Water Parterre. Representing the seasons, the male and female figures show attributes that enable us to identify them.

Present in the gardens, Autumn is represented by Bacchus, crowned with vine and ivy branches, holding a goblet of wine and with a basket of grapes at his feet. 

Modelled by a Provencal craftsman, these terracotta crib figurines (santons) comply with the charter certified by the Santons de Provence label. They are sold exclusively in the Online Boutique.Each figurine measures 16 cm.
