"Toile de Jouy" pencil case with zip

This pretty pencil case with 'Toile de Jouy' patterns has a zip opener and a striped cotton lining. Two models with different patterns and colours are available:
- the aniseed, coloured model with a pompom has floral and musical instrument patterns
- the raspberry, coloured model is illustrated with a scene of a country meal and farm work.
Machine washable at 30°.

In the 18th century, 'Toile de Jouy' was fashionable in Versailles for the dresses of the ladies of the Court and for upholstery in Trianon. Other prints can be discovered at the Musée du Toile de Jouy in Jouy-en-Josas (78), where the workshops were founded.
