A stylish touch

This toile de Jouy bag with a pretty bow to close it has hard handles and is lined with colourful striped cotton. Two models with different motifs and colours are available:
- The model with pink handles on an anise background shows a little girl on a swing surrounded by angels, floral motifs and music instruments.
- The model with taupe handles on a raspberry background features a picnic scene and a village festival.

In the 18th century the ladies of the Court were mad about Toile de Jouy. Queen Marie-Antoinette ordered several Persian dresses in this fabric. The Toile de Jouy Museum in Jouy-en-Josas near Versailles has nearly 80 capes, blouses, shawls, skirts, dresses and gowns made of the famous cotton fabric.
